Practice patience when networking

As a country person at heart when you’re networking I like to think of networking as planting a seed, a seed of relationships.  You plant them with the initial contact, nurture by staying in touch, nourish and help and eventually gathering your harvest.  You may have an opportunity to reap or harvest something of significant value, whether it be a referral, employment, advice, or friendship.

So I’d advocate practice patience when networking and try to approach it without expecting immediate results.
