In a business networking group, apart from the quality of your products and your service, it’s the relationships you create in your networking group which is important.
At Thrive, outside of the fortnightly meetings, we encourage our members to get to know one another by the Thrive 121’s and by the other events we host. It takes time to build confidence in your fellow members, but when your Thrive colleagues know who you are and what type of service you provide, it makes it easier for them to refer your products and/or service.
If you’re looking at joining a networking group, consider:
- Your profession
- The size of the group
- How supportive the group is
We’re focused on creating groups and a network with a relaxed and genial atmosphere, but behind the scenes is an efficient operation ensuring that the Thrive system works for all our members.
It’s a two-way street. For a networking group to work well, be sure to:
- Educate the group about your business
- Support the group
- Help by giving good quality advocated referrals
- Strengthen each other through giving testimonials
- Don’t pre-judge
- Support the group and be committed to your Thrive team
All our Thrive meetings are run the same way…. effectively! We’re not into making pressurised recommendations, our aim is to make genuine, authentic and long-term referrals. Not everyone feels confident or comfortable presenting in front of people so the friendly and easy atmosphere of being in a room of people you know, like and trust makes the experience much more enjoyable.
