Go to networking events regularly and build relationships
Networking events are a complete waste of time unless you are prepared to invest regular time and effort. If you are mostly networking and meeting people once and then you’ll never see them again, this is wasting your time. People don’t usually do business with or refer business to people they just met.
Business networking is all about building good business relationships. Would you refer business to people you don’t know? I think of my friends or those people I’ve got to know, like and trust and not people that I just met. It’s not that these people aren’t good people to do business with – it’s simply because I don’t know them yet.
Thrive Networking is about developing connections for growth.
We follow a set agenda.
The reason for this is simple:
1. It is a tried and tested format that works.
2. An agenda prevents lost opportunities.
3. By getting to know each other Thrive networking helps us to promote each other’s businesses to increase good organic business growth.
The purpose of this agenda item is to allow every member/guest to introduce themselves in a way that immediately informs who they are, what they do, the benefits their product or service offers and the type of introductions they are looking for.
The purpose of this part of the agenda is to give a different member in each meeting the opportunity of more time to present their business and their needs and to take open questions from other members thus raising the understanding of their product or service in the forum.
Contribution and recommendations
The contribution section of the meeting is key to the growth of your business. We monitor contributions with an e.referral dashboard to help us produce good results.
1-2-1’s = organic growth!
The one-to-one meetings allow you to explore what your fellow members do and who they are in greater depth. This is a vital first step in getting to know and hopefully, like and trust, each other. This allows the best connections to be made. Real power is unleashed when you understand how you can help each other. Your objective is to ensure that your fellow members are confident to refer you to their contacts beyond the group and be able to recognise opportunities for each other.
