You are 4 times more likely to buy from a friend!

Why is Networking like chocolate?

Why?   Because just like chocolate,  it depends on how much, what type, and if you take it from a stranger.
How much?   Time is the most valuable commodity to any business.

At Thrive, we meet fortnightly at convenient times. The participation is measured by quality not quantity. Networking won’t create successes overnight, view it as a long-term marketing strategy. People who say they are too busy to network are missing out!

What type of networking?
By making new connections and have a structured networking strategy is the most effective – a warm lead generates 80% more results than a cold call!  59% of people say that a driving force in their purchase decision is based on… word of mouth.
Fact! – Networking works best for companies who are serious about growing their businesses! Like any marketing method, Networking is a tool or a system – nothing more or less, where you can activity promote your services and products. You are 4 times more likely to buy when referred by a friend.
How do I know this person?
Does it pass the grandmother and/or kid test? If you were asked by your child or grandmother about the networking connection – would you feel ok?
What if you read about your relationship in the newspaper or saw a story on TV.
Would you feel at all uncomfortable?
As a way of starting any relationship have an informal chat and really get to know someone through 1-2-1’a and regular meeting attendance. The trust comes when you feel comfortable with and know the person well enough to do business with them.
Thrive meetings are a good way to catch up with fellow members, ask for advice, make new friends & find out about new ideas, suppliers & clients.  We think that networking and sales simply do not have the same meaning. While networking provides an opportunity to “sell yourself,” introductions should be sincere and authentic.
  • Networking and sales are not the same.
  • Networking provides an opportunity to sell yourself.
  • The transfer of trust is at the heart of networking.
  • Networking succeeds when it enhances the lives of others and helps people do well.
